This is a rare old girl; a 9000CD with a 2.3L turbo engine.
They only sold a few hundred of these in the UK but I expect they sold more in the US where big saloons are more popular and hatchbacks almost unheard of.
Because they sold so few parts are starting to get tricky, particlarily the lights which were unique to the CD.

It's actually a very nice car to drive and fast too. If you had a new 9000 against a new 9-5 (and you weren't interested in cup holders or the sleeker styling) I think you'd choose the 9000. They feel way more solid and planted on the road.

If you have a FoMoCo carb on your V4 please bin it!
They weren't very good when the cars were new, now they're at least 35 years old they are fire bombs....
You need one of these, a Weber 34ICH.

I sell them in a kit, correctly jetted for a 1500cc V4 and with everything you need to fit it.
If you have a 95L or a 96L I also have the earlier inlet manifolds available.

I'm breaking this one for spares; Saab 9-3 2.0L i manual, most parts available.

Sadly the ventilation system is broken so the interior is soaking and there are just too many other small faults to make this car worth fixing. Oh and it needs a clutch!
However, the engine and gearbox are excellent and everything works so there are many good parts to be had.

A busy day at the office!

This is a nice old 95 and now it's been here for a week or so it's running a lot better.
I get this quite often; a pretty solid V4 but one that's not been looked at by a specialist for years and years. Things are fitted wrongly and all the tuning is miles out. This 95 has had a re-con gearbox, new carb, new clutch, recon alternator and new balance shaft bearings.
With all that work done it now has a chance of pulling the skin off a rice pudding!

From the old to the (quite) new. The 9-3 SportsSaloons are pretty good and now that they're getting on a bit we're finding that they're reliable so long as you keep on top of any electronic problems that may crop up. I can undertake any servicing or repair work that you may need and I have an excellent sub-contractor who is an expert in Saab electronics so we have these cars covered.
If you have a 1.9TiD don't neglect the cam-belt or the water pump. Change them at about 60,000 miles and it'll cost about £250. Wait until one or the other breaks and it'll cost more than £1,000.

I'm breaking this one for spares; Saab 9-5 2.0L LPT, all parts available.

Sadly the engine is shot and there are just too many other small faults to make this car worth fixing.
However, the grey cloth interior is clean and everything works so there are many good parts to be had.
